Well, it was an interesting week. I did finally manage to start running again but with the weather and feeling generally blah from being sick, it wasn’t a shining example of pre-marathon training. So, OK. It is what it is and hopefully the next week will be better.
1/24 – rest (well, why not?).
1/25 – total body weights – felt kinda weak.
1/26 – 5 mile run – 1.5 on asphalt, 3.5 on dirt. Temp in the lower 40’s, wind <10 mph. Not too bad after some pre running jitters. Remember to run with tissues…
1/27 – 5 mile run – 1.5 on asphalt, 3.5 on dirt. Temp in high 30’s, wind approx. 10 mph. A little bit better than previous run.
1/28 – 5 mile run – 1.5 on asphalt, 3.5 on dirt. Temp in low 40’s, wind approx. 10 mph. This one felt pretty good.
1/29 – cross training – helping a friend move furniture all day. Tired after.
1/30 – total body weights and core toning. Still not as strong as before marathon.
And though I hope to get more running this week, Monday and Tuesday are supposed to have very cold winter weather. I may do my weight training in the first few days and try to run well later in the week.
