The Workouts 11/14 – 11/20

11/14 – NSOMAT – stack 2 tons hay

11/15 – NSOMAT property chores, manage load of poles, very late night/long day – no running

11/16 – rest (wimped out!)

11/17 – 6 mile run on gravel and paved roads. 52 degrees, wind minimal.

11/18 – 8 mile run on gravel and paved roads. 60 degrees, wind minimal.  Comfortable run late afternoon/early evening.  Remembered this shirt can only be worn for runs of up to 6 miles and then it peels the skin off my collar bones.  And that looks fantastic with a low neckline and nice necklace.  Yoga.

11/19 – 9 miles on gravel and paved roads. 42 degrees, wind 8 mph.

11/20 – 18 mile run on gravel and paved roads with fuel belt.  Still using the Perpetuem – working well.  40 degrees, wind 10 mph.  Tough run with some walking.  Due to disruption of training schedule, had to compress quite a lot of running into 4 days.  Tired!

Six miles used to be my favorite training distance.  It was easy and comfortable and I didn’t think much about it.  These days 8 miles has become my new preferred distance.  It’s too bad I can’t just run eights while getting ready for this race.  Sigh.  Well, I’ll enjoy the ones I get…

One toenail is darkening up and my Achilles tendons are… tired.
